(July
28, 2010) On Sunday, August 1, 2010, Genealogist, David Kleiman
will will give an exciting and humorous multi-media lecture/discussion
at the historic Gomez Mill House in Orange County, New York. Mr.
Kleiman will explore seldom told tales of adventure, spirituality,
and American life in colonial times. Along the way we'll meet
several Jewish individuals and their
communities, each of whom influenced this country's early development
through mercantile pursuits, patriotism, heroism, and faith. Their
inspiring stories range from the piratical to the first civil
rights case in the United States and are the stepping off point
for discussing the grand scope of American genealogy and family
history (no matter what your background).
David
M. Kleiman is a publisher, researcher, folklorist, and popular
educator. He has been involved in family history works for over
35 years. He is president of Heritage Muse, Inc. and cofounder
of the NY Computers and Genealogy Special Interest Group. David

the Genealogical Speakers Guild, and serves on the Executive Council
of the Jewish Genealogical Society-NY. In 2009 he took on the
duties of curator for the new Loeb Visitors Center at Touro Synagogue
in Newport, Rhode Island, overseeing an extensive exhibit on the
history of the synagogue, the Jewish role in Colonial America,
and the underpinnings of our First Amendment rights on Religious
Freedom. His team also builds, writes, and maintains websites
